I honestly cannot believe that the iPhone was released in 2007. It seems like it was just yesterday but actuality it’s been nearly five years! Since then we’ve seen a number of other smartphones be developed as well as hundreds of thousands of applications. There are currently over 500,000 apps in the Apple App Store. Google Play (former Android Market) surpassed the 400,000 app mark in December 2011, doubling the number of available applications only in 8 months.
