Pages You May Like Box Showing Up In Facebook Mobile News Feed

facebook likeLooks like Facebook is starting to work a bit harder on their mobile advertising efforts. They started rolling out an ad unit which shows off two sponsored listings in the Facebook Mobile News Feed – “Pages You May Like” Box.

This is not like their original mobile sponsored stories, where the names of users’ friends who liked the pages being promoted are not featured in the headline, but one friend’s name was included under each of the two company names when we looked at it this morning.

This Pages You May Like feature is coming after Facebook introduced the larger Like Page button in July.

Another interesting move on Facebook’s part. One of which is following their diving stock price and the exit of 3 executives. Let’s hope they can pull it together soon and get their mobile monetization down to a science because there’s a ton of bad publicity going around regarding money since Facebook went public. Note – Fix the damn iPhone Facebook App so it stops crashing and speeds up when surfing = more mobile opportunities on Facebook’s part. (Just saying)
