Things just keep getting better and better over at LinkedIn and yes, I’m going to keep talking about them. I have to. I feel I owe it to them for the immense amount of business LinkedIn has brought over our way for the last couple of years. Today, they got some friggin awesome announcements:
Today, they reported their financial results for a strong 2012 first quarter, an increase of 101% compared to the first quarter of 2011, and the 7th straight quarter of greater than 100% year-over-year growth.
Here are the key highlights:
Revenue for the first quarter was $188.5 million, an increase of 101% compared to $93.9 million in the first quarter of 2011.
Net income for the first quarter was $5.0 million, compared to net income of $2.1 million for the first quarter 2011. Non-GAAP net income for the first quarter was $16.9 million, compared to $5.8 million for the first quarter of 2011. Non-GAAP measures exclude tax-affected stock-based compensation expense and tax-affected amortization of acquired intangible assets.
Adjusted EBITDA for the first quarter was $38.1 million, or 20% of revenue, compared to $13.3 million for the first quarter of 2011, or 14% of revenue.

Great news! I know they just opened a data center or branch out in India as well so I look for international growth to continue! Also, yes LinkedIn is acquiring Slideshare In case you didn’t know, Slideshare is an excellent content tool to display on your LinkedIn profile as an app.
