The landscape of SEO is changing all the time. Google is introducing algorithm updates all the time and making changes to their existing ones on a regular basis. That is expected to continue in 2013. SEO is becoming more social. We are also going to see the rise of AuthorRank. Content is expected to remain king though. This infographic by imFORZA suggests where SEO is headed in 2013. If you want the critical highlights, they pretty much sum up what I’ve been saying for awhile:
- Google will punish sites that fail to provide simple navigation for users. Look at our web properties navigation (It’s Simple Stupid) – IMGrind, Revived Media, iMobiTrax.
- AuthorRank (aka Agent Rank) will become bigger – (I’ve got my Google Authorship across all 3 web properties) and it’s helped our Search Engine Rankings tremendously.
- Content Is Still King – It always will be. I like to think of myself as a content machine. I’ve done over 1,200 blog posts on three of our web properties the last 12 months alone.
