In today’s IMGrind news installment we lead off with an article over at Capture The Conversation where the author lists some great benefits with respect to spending more time syndicating your content to Google Plus and building out your circles. The author states that while it’s great to get tons of like and comments surrounding something you share on facebook, Google Plus will ultimately shape search engine results for those users who are logged into Google properties. Get your circles built, gain a couple influential followers, syndicate everything to your Google Plus account, and stand back and watch the Google’s go to work for you. Google’s aim is to get the world on a Google Account to leverage and build their userbase on Google Plus. The two ideas go hand in hand. Build the Google social network by baiting site owners into posting their content on Google Plus with the promise/hope of ranking better within the serps as they relate to those who are logged into Google.

ADVICE: Share your content on Google Plus with the same ferocity that you share on Facebook

In our second segment, we are talking about a recent announcement by Matt Cutts where he disclosed the fact that Google is working on a penalty that will affect overly optimized – overly SEO’d websites in order to equalize the playing field and hopefully yield better results by favoring sites who are focused on building great content surrounding a topic/keyword. Can you hear the screams from the far reaching parts of the globe where banks of computers are running Xrumer, auto commenting, etc? I think I can. Anyways this will be interesting to follow in the months to come within the Google serps. If you are targetting some keywords and you just can’t seem to bust into the top ranks on page 1 because a site with 20,000 inbound links all with anchor text keywords from PR8 websites, the tides may change in your favor.

ADVICE: Keep creating awesome content. Do your on page SEO. Relax. Watch what happens.
