If you have not jumped on the mobile bandwagon, you better, or you will get left behind. Many people think it’s not an issue, that everyone is exploring and trying new things, but it’s not true. Online marketers, both branders and performance marketers are experiencing a major shift in how the world works (as far as online marketing goes) and many have not even dipped their toe in the water.
There are many reasons given for not trying. It’s out of many marketers comfort zones. It’s foreign to them. They have success elsewhere so they don’t even try. It’s too much work. They don’t know how to find the right volume. It’s too technical. There are too many handsets. Traffic comes from all over the world. The list goes on and on.
Bottom line is that the world is going (or has gone) mobile and if you don’t figure it out, you will be left behind to fight over what’s left of the desktop world. According to a recent report by IgnitionOne, US paid search slowed down by half year over year in Q2 compared to Q1′s growth rate (15.5% vs 30.3%) compared to a big Q2 - 333% year over year increase following a Q1 increase of 221% in mobile paid search. Statistics have also shown significant growth in email opens and display traffic growth in mobile which are reducing some comparable traffic on desktops. Total mobile search budget has also increased to 14% in Q2 from 12.3% in the previous quarter.
I could go on with more statistics to prove my point, but ultimately, I like to say if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. So here are three huge parts of the solution:
1. The IMGrind Private Forum – Join it, it has a ton of information on all things mobile. Learn all you can and ask questions. It’s like having your own coach/mentor to help you along your way.
2. iMobitrax – Get it if you can. It’s the industry leading mobile tracking system that shows you what works and what doesn’t with your campaigns. Check it out.
3. Revived Media – A leading interactive online marketing agency with tons of top shelf mobile offers, solid financials and it was founded by some of the best online marketers on the planet who hold weekly strategy calls to get publishers running successfully.
Are there other solutions out there? Sure, but I can tell you that these three are the best in their respective areas and backed up by the hardest working teams dedicated to your success that I know of. Check them out.
