How To Build An Email List With Coregistration

I’ve said it time and time again so take warning if you are thinking about building an email list with coregistration it is CRITICAL to warm up your new list. Don’t start advertising straight away…or you will to be left with no list. You need to send a series of emails before you start to “soft sell” to your readers. Free content is king. If you do not have a product don’t worry. Simply download a high quality PLR product, for free, and rebrand the product as your own. (This is just one way, I highly suggest having your OWN product). There are many ways, I won’t go into them, just do a Google search.

I’ll show you an example here that Ryan and I use to build our IMGrind brand with Coregistration leads. Remember, don’t copy. Use this as an example and tailor it to your own needs and always be split testing your headlines and copy. It’s CRITICAL:

If you just read that email and you’re a part of our Private Forums, you already know we destroy with our first email out to coregistration leads. That’s not your typical email from an affiliate or advertiser is it? They don’t have the brand we have built up or the following either do they? Land on this website, and you get smacked in the fucking face with all kinds of great information on how to get started with a variety of ways to make money online. That’s important too, but not what I am covering here today.

That’s a simple first email you would send out. Coregistration can build you an opt inlist very quickly and you can turn that list into profits if you send out valuable info.

The best list building technique (in my opinion) using coregistration is to approach other companies that have products or services similar to yours but not competing directly and arranging a joint venture type arrangement using co registration where you will offer them a link or free subscription to your ezine or newsletter in return for placing the opt in form to your lists on their website.

This means that you will be getting a percentage of their subscribers to subscribe to your list as well. There is no competition and you are assured that they are in your target market because they have opted in to the other company’s list for a noncompetitive but complementary product or service.

You know what the best part is? Without being egotistical here, I’ve been kicked off competitors list here because of introduction emails just like that one above. When they realize they are losing subscribers, they tend to get a little pissed.

  • I will out write you
  • I will out market your list
  • I will out advertise you without even advertising
  • I will out work you, you have to sleep sometime
  • I will out philosophize you

Here are some tips when writing that first email to leads you pick up from Co-Reg:

Make Your Intentions Clear – Remember to always be overt about your intentions. Show them a sample of what they will be receiving. Tell them how, and how often you plan to communicate with them. Tell them you plan to call them, if the phone is part of your strategic communication plan. Ask for the opt-in, perhaps, separately from your offer. Clearly state that you will transfer and keep Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data safe, and that you will not share, rent or sell the data to anyone without their clear and overt consent. Be sure to provide a link to your privacy policy.

Make sure to communicate with registrations immediately, in a meaningful way. If you are building a relationship, give that individual something of value. If you are a merchant, provide the consumer with an immediate exclusive offer that will lead them to transact and convert soon. They will quickly value their relationship with you.

Be careful, as many co-reg providers offer “blind” networks, those that do not disclose the specific sites on which your offer runs. If you care about the quality of the registrations you are buying, then you ought to know where your offer is running. This consideration has increased importance if the brand is conscious of image or cares about the added branding impact co-registration can provide.

TipDo not sell to your list every week or you will dry your list out. Maybe soft sell twice a month, and provide free tips and advice twice a month.

Methods of soft selling:
• Provide free content with links to recommended affiliate products
• Provide free Private Label Rights products with OTO’s
• Send out solo ads each week letting your subscribers know about your product(s) and related affiliate products

Other Methods of Soft-Selling:
• Send an email on a topic that is interesting and suitable to your opt-in list market (i.e making money online)
• Describe how it functions and how it can work to a person’s advantage (i.e more family time, less stress etc)
• Then talk about a related product that can help build your readers business (i.e A work-at-home job)
• Tell them how the product has helped you
• Then give them your affiliate link to find out more about the offer. If they make a sale, you make a commission.

Hard Selling – This is an email describing a product and telling you it’s advantages and to buy it now or before time runs out. I do not suggest doing this at all honestly. In my experience I find that the soft sale is really the way to go and it’s what I’ve used for years as an Internet Marketer. Hard sales typically just piss people off and you will get a lot of spam complaints. Don’t do it.

I just gave you a winning blue-print for introducing new coregistration leads into your autoresponder/email sequence. Nobody is every going to give you information like this in step-by-step format so please get off your ass and use it ok?
