How Do You Feel About Facebook Recording Your Search History?

Well, why not? Facebook already owns nearly 1/6th of the world’s digital information anyway, so it only makes sense to start building towards Search Engine rivalry.

Facebook posted about the change on its newsroom blog, noting that you can delete your saved searches, too:

Starting today, in addition to your other activity, you’ll be able to see the searches you’re making on Facebook. Just as you can choose to delete any of your posts, you can use the same inline control on activity log to remove any of your searches at any time. It’s important to remember that no one else can see your activity log, including your search activity.

If you don’t see it yet, sit tight, it’ll be there within the next couple of weeks. To see if you have it, go to your profile page, click on “Activity Log” (right side).
