Bing Ads Release Sitelink Extensions to Increase CTR for Advertisers

Attention Pay Per Clicker marketers – Bing has just recently added sitelink extensions, which if you have ever used sitelinks at Google, you know that these links help direct the potential visitor to a particular page of your website. Instead of being dropped on the index page and then left to wonder around to find what they are looking for, these sitelink extensions act as a direct point to the desired content. Just in time for the upcoming holiday traffic, advertisers have a great opportunity to boost CTR and gain a better ROI by implementing this PPC add-on.

Through the Bing platform, the site extensions are added at the campaign level and will apply to every adgroup under that campaign. If you don’t want to have your set extensions apply to all adgroups under your campaign, you will have to segment out the adgroup and place it in a new campaign (should you want a completely different set of extensions applied).

Time will tell if Bing will follow suit and offer some additional extensions like Google – social extensions, call extensions, and map extensions. With early adopters experiencing much better CTR and ROI, it only seems to make sense that Bing make more extensions available.
